# Draftside editor

This page is the Draftside editor, a writing app that runs in the browser. It has no text of its own; open https://draftside.ai/write/ in a browser to start writing.

- No account or API key. Drafts are saved in the browser's IndexedDB on this device and aren't uploaded.
- The editor and saved drafts work in any modern browser. The AI features (inline completions, rewrites, alternate phrasing, translation, chat, transcription and draft classification) need Chrome's built-in AI with Gemini Nano, in Chrome or another Chromium browser such as Edge. The first AI session can trigger a one-time model download of about 1–2 GB; after that, the AI runs on the device.
- It installs as a progressive web app and works offline once it has loaded.
- This page doesn't load Google Analytics.
